Privacy considerations
DreamGen stores scenarios, character definitions, inputs and AI outputs. Its March 2026 privacy policy says primary models run on first-party infrastructure, although requests may sometimes be routed to vetted third-party AI providers. Story and role-play data is not used for model improvement unless the user explicitly opts in; that consent is off by default.
The policy also says private content is not reviewed by people unless it is published, the user consents, review is legally required, or the user opts into model improvement. Deleted data is removed from active systems within a reasonable period, while backups can persist until overwritten or purged.
